On this site, my goal is to collate all of the information I can find from family or the internet into one location. Website links often begin to fail over time, so where I deemed it necessary, I’ve captured the complete text, photos as well as the weblink. Below are some links to posts referring to Fr. Casimir that I have collated to date.
Fr. Casimir Michael Cypher OFM Conv.
aka Fr. Casimir Cypher, aka Fray Casimiro, aka Man of Peace, aka Servant of God
Michael Jerome Cypher, later Fr. Casimir Cypher, was a first cousin to my grandfather Clarence Cypher. He was martyred in the Los Horcones massacre in Honduras in 1975 and in 2013 the bishop of Olancho began the process of canonization to sainthood, the first step being recognized as “Servant of God”.
